It may have been another wet day outside but that didn’t take away from the atmosphere and excitement that was World Book Day 2026 @ St. Joseph’s. There is only one word that could describe today’s activities and that is magical. Lots of pupils dressed up as a character from a book that really added to the occasion. Every pupil joined their House Team colours and visited every teacher for a 30 minute book and activity focus throughout the day. It was so lovely to witness our older pupils looking after our younger ones and helping them get involved in all that was going on. The creativity, enthusiasm and passion demonstrated by our staff throughout the day to encourage and promote reading was nothing short of outstanding. Of course it couldn’t have happened without the meticulous planning and guidance by Mrs Russell, our wonderful and amazing Literacy Coordinator. A big thank you to all pupils and staff for a memorable day.👏👏👏👏
