Music has been going from strength to strength at St Joseph’s over recent years in many forms. For the first time ever, under the tutorship of our long standing EA Music Specialist, Mr Barry Murphy, our Primary 7 class assisted by a few P6 musicians performed for our school community today. They were brilliant with the vast majority only taking on their instrument in September.
Not to hide their light under a bushel, our P6 recorder group got in on the act with a beautiful rendition of ‘In the Bleak Mid-Winter’.
There is nothing bleak about the musical opportunities our pupils can avail of at St Joseph’s. We were privileged to listen to them perform and they have certainly motivated the younger pupils in our school to take up an instrument when they reach Primary 4. Check out the videos below.
