St Joseph’s Pupils Shine at Cross Country Trials
Sixteen young athletes from St Joseph’s Primary School, Meigh – eight boys and eight girls – travelled to Downpatrick this morning to take part in the Newry & Mourne Schools Cross Country trials.
With hundreds of pupils competing in both races, the standard was extremely high, but the St Joseph’s teams rose to the challenge with determination and school spirit. The girls’ team came close to medal positions, with Ella H producing an outstanding run to finish 9th overall.
Every one of the 16 competitors gave their all, showing incredible effort and perseverance from start to finish. The school community is immensely proud of their commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Well done to all our runners – you did St Joseph’s proud!
